“Gloucester and Forest Alternative Provision School (GFAPS) is a school where pupils’ needs are identified quickly, understood and valued.”

“Staff promote care, tolerance and respect.  Discriminatory or unkind behaviour are not tolerated”  Ofsted Jan 2022.

Gloucester & Forest Alternative Provision School is a warm and welcoming school community.  We strive to enable our pupils to become successful in any classroom or wider social environment.  We are ambitious for our pupils, supporting them to achieve their best possible outcome both academically and socially; delivered by re-igniting a love of learning and an enjoyment of school life.  We provide a broad and balanced curriculum for approximately 100 pupils, in KS1 – 4.  Provision is arranged across three sites, Rutherford House, The Raikes Centre and Russet House all based in Gloucester.

We are keen to add to the expertise of our staff team by recruiting a teaching assistant.  As a teaching assistant at our school, you will be delivering induction, intervention and transition programmes to support our pupils needs both within and outside of our centre.  This post is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teaching assistant to develop their skills further or possibly someone newer to the role who believes they have something to offer within our unique context.

We are looking for an ambitious team player who enjoys a challenge and is willing to innovate to ensure the best possible outcomes for the pupils they are working with. However, all of this needs to be achieved within a framework of integrity, empathy and understanding.

If you feel you have the necessary skills, enthusiasm and commitment needed to fulfil this post we would welcome your application.
