Scouts join BARK project

8th April 2017
Boys and Girls from The Forest of Dean Scout District Scouts  embarked on the first of three BARK Art workshops run by the Gloucester and Forest Alternative Provistion School and Paintsmiths Artists today.
The Scouts brainstormed ideas of what mattered most to them. The ideas ranged from serious topics such as epilepsy, veganism, animal cruelty and pollution to ideas celebrating joyous aspects of life such as cakes!
Scouts were taught street art skills - free hand spray skills, stencil cutting and graphite techniques to translate these ideas into images.  Workshops 2 and 3 will be used to scale up these images onto boards that will eventually be displayed on the Sculpture Trail at Beechenhurst.
