'A Successful Learning Community
That Grows Together'
Welcome to our school.
Gloucester & Forest Alternative Provision School is a warm and welcoming school community. We strive to enable our pupils to become successful in any classroom or wider social environment. We are ambitious for our pupils, supporting them to achieve their best possible outcome both academically and socially; delivered by re-igniting a love of learning and an enjoyment of school life.
Our website will provide you with a valuable insight into everyday life within the school. We hope, as you explore, you will see that we are a small school with a big heart and the courage to be innovative in meeting the needs of our learners.
Our highly skilled staff team provide pupils with a learning environment that recognises all members of our community as equals; - small class groups, high staff ratio, personalised learning plans, a tailored curriculum, a fresh start approach to every lesson and close contact with parents & carers providing daily and weekly reports. By equipping our pupils with the ability to manage their emotions we can ensure that they are ready to learn and thrive.
Please do take the time to explore and enjoy!
Warmest Wishes
Mrs Elisa Entwistle

GFAPS F.R.E.E Approach
The GFAPS F.R.E.E Approach is intended to offer opportunity to all our students to Flourish, Regulate, Evolve and Engage. Our students are nurtured and supported to improve their emotional development and ultimately become autonomous self-regulators. We believe that our school will support all individual pupils to continuously develop their academic knowledge, emotional intelligence and social skills, in order for them to reintegrate successfully into appropriate full time educational provision or employment. We have clear, high expectations for everyone, and we aim to motivate our pupils to embody these expectations of themselves. Our drive is for every GFAPS student to leave our care a more rounded, focused and aspirational individual, with hope and commitment for a brighter future.
